This is how it all started…

Many times, I feel like I’m just coasting through life, somewhere in the middle. Life is generally good for me—there are great days, not-so-great days, but overall, things are okay. I often think I shouldn’t complain, yet many days I find myself frustrated by the mediocrity that seems to permeate my daily existence.

Do you sometimes feel stuck or stalled, yet not knowing exactly why? It’s as if there’s an invisible barrier keeping you from moving forward, and it can be incredibly frustrating. On top of that, do you occasionally feel a deep sense of isolation in these thoughts, despite being surrounded by people?

I know I often wonder if anyone else feels the same way.

If any of the above sounds or feel familiar, I am writing for us. My writing comes from two places: either my experiences/questions/frustrations or the experiences of someone I know. My intent is to create a space where we can find solace in knowing we’re not alone in these feelings. Here, I explore the common struggles and small triumphs of being an average person, navigating the ups and downs of life. Together, we’ll find ways to break through that sense of being stuck and embrace the journey with all its imperfections.

    I Am a Seeker

I’m writing this for myself, but I’m silently hoping I’m not the only one who feels this way. If I’m not, this is for you too. That’s the point—I’m writing this about us.   I Am a Seeker. A Seeker is someone who knows they need to move forward but isn’t always sure of the next…

You Have Power in the Pause

“It’s not what happens to you, but how you react to it that matters.”  Epictetus Let me tell you something that took me way too long to learn: The most powerful moment in your day is so damn quiet, you usually miss it. It’s that tiny space between something happening and how you respond. That…

The Recipe I Grew Up With When I was about 12 years old my father taught me how to cook. Just the basics, but he taught me nonetheless. One of the things I learned how to make was an omelette. The recipe was simple and it was something I could do. Very quickly you take…

You are where you Choose to be: Take Control Today

You are where you Chose to be… About 10 years ago I was talking with another dad, waiting as our daughters were rehearsing for a local play. Somehow the conversation wound up talking about that he personally believed “You are where you chose to be”. At first, I really didn’t understand what he was talking…

  • “Just a…” – The Subtle Way We Limit Ourselves

Hidden Power of Your Words… I think almost everyone I know has a few phrases that, when they hear them, drive them crazy. Granted, some of these might be harmless, but more often than not, there are phrases that really get under our skin. The other day, I was talking with a friend, and she…
